We booked based on other quite out of date Trip Advisor reviews and some more recent 2014 comments from the visitors book at our local gite. We loved the chef's attention to detail for quite complex and delicious dishes. We had the 4 course menu, one for 24 Euro - other 32 Euro and were delighted. What Veerle Teppers doesn't like about Le Vieux Fournil:
Special smell inside. We had a reservation for two but there was a cover for one person. The dish was good. Duck. They didn't have that much in the house anymore. Salmon with rice and butter sauce. Simple but effective card! Regional products cooked with care. We had a pleasant time, not to mention the kindness of the owners. I recommend!
Friendly restaurant in the heart of the small village of chambon. The kitchen is good, simple but fine and everything is homemade. the room is very clean, modern, quiet and fresh. All right. the real plus: the reception at the top, really super pleasant, we fold in 4 for the guests, to the small onions: the little axes of improvement to my senses: small background of musical atmosphere in the room would be nice (especially when there are few well planned towels, pepper salt, small details but useful: serving the dishes at the same time if possible small mouths of amuses with cocktails? specifying the origin of the ingredients to win otherwise, keeping your smile and the sense of quality, it is an excellent start and it is fun in the corner! Restaurant taken recently. A very nice new boss. Good cooking. A little waiting because cooking fresh products. Reduced card. Our daughter loved the English chocolate melt cream.
Dinner together this Friday night, not at all disappointed! Even if some imperfections on the service, due to a whole new reopening, tasty dishes!! Traditional cuisine, with fresh and home products, excellent and cheap prices, bravo! I recommend
