Was here with the family for lunch when we lived in a local campsite. It is truly authentic French and the food is amazing. No English is spoken, but that simply adds to the feeling of the place. I never tasted a child's meal for the kids. If only my 5 and 3 years old appreciated fine kitchen. It was amazing. What László Papp doesn't like about Beau Site Hotel Restaurant:
The menu is pleasing, but probably the worst truffade we had from dozens of restaurants that we tried in the last 6 weeks (small part and burnt potatoes). The other dishes on the menu we tried were not made with fresh ingredients. So disappointing food as a whole and our waiter was nice, but completely indescribable, how to use a table looked so rough that even outside teenagers made a comment View all feedback.
Rough, quick service. Terrible main dish, first glass of wine lice, and after mention I got another served in a tiny glass that was less than normal size. When I mentioned all this at the end, I wasn't even offered the first glass. I later heard from locals at night that it was bad for the whole 2021. Don't go!

We stayed here last night and had dinner in the restaurant. The rooms are old fashioned in decor but spotlessly clean and perfect for one night. The restaurant has a fantastic view over the valley to Lake Garrabit and the viaduct. The food was delicious, portion sizes were just right, great service, nice wine selection. We had a cold crayfish and king prawn salad and scallops to start, followed by medallions of pieces of veal with THE best cheesy creamed potato I've ever had, a lovely cheese trolley and then a long list of deserts. I had the Beau Site special, meringue shaped like a cepe mushroom with chocolate sauce, vanilla ice cream and chantilly cream. If you eat here order it, it's fabulous. Linen table cloths, nice wine glasses, wide tables, attentive staff, it's doing a great job. The hotel is up a hill with not much going on nearby so a one night stopover is perfect. I must admit my first impressions weren't good but they soon faded, it's worth a visit. Also they have a lovely bar area, buffet style breakfast, a pool and tennis courts so it ticks several boxes. Try it.
Very affordable; the trip advisor price marking is off. A somewhat strange interior style. The taste of the local food is very good.
