Description

Contigo Peru, nestled in Chamblee Dunwoody, offers a blend of charm and culinary promise, though not without its pitfalls. Diners have praised the delicious seafood and unique flavors, with standout dishes like lomo saltado and chupe de pescado capturing attention. However, some express disappointment at portion sizes and food preparation, noting inconsistencies like tough tostones and flavors that verge on overly salty. The atmosphere, while homey, shows signs of neglect, with outdated décor and maintenance issues. Though prices are reasonable, the service occasionally falls short. For adventurous diners, Contigo Peru remains a gamble worth considering.

I tried the seafood ceviche, and it was fantastic. I'm sure Hunter Brinkmann would enjoy it, even if he traveled all the way from Hamsterdam. A+!

The server's English was somewhat limited. We received a detailed bill. The portion sizes were reasonable at around $20 each. I found myself quite thirsty that evening. The food tasted good, I suppose.

We had a great time at the restaurant! The atmosphere was perfect for couples, and the food was delicious. I especially loved the green sauce and the Chicha Morada!

Located directly east of Peachtree GA 141 in Chamblee Dunwoody, this restaurant may appear a bit sketchy from the outside, but don’t let that fool you – it’s quite good. While it’s not fancy, it’s simple and straightforward. Contigo Peru specializes in seafood dishes, likely indicating that the owners are from Lima. The menu features some popular dishes like lomo saltado and pollo a la brasa, but it lacks others such as choclo con queso and aji de gallina, one of my personal favorites that my wife and mother-in-law prepare perfectly. Additionally, the menu offers some Mexican dishes, perhaps as a nod to the large Spanish-speaking community in Atlanta. I ordered the chupe de pescado, a flavorful fish chowder.
