Dilly's is a local watering hole that also serves food. Lots of grilled and fried. It's not very fancy but it gets the job done with inexpensive beer and decent bar grub. My eye was drawn to the Fat Santa on the menu. Maybe it was because National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation was playing on the TV? Either way, I ended up ordering this monster. On a sub roll, a cheeseburger, a chicken strip, onion rings, a mozzarella... View all feedback.
What Teri M doesn't like about Dilly's Grill:
It 's a small town bar that looks like a fun place to hang out for the regulars. The Banging Shrimp were great. They taste good but you can 't quite figure out why. House salad above par too. Unfortunately, the rest of the food was poorly concocted, odd recipes with poor execution. We ordered entrees, pasta trio and chili shrimp and rice. If I were you, I 'd stick to bar food . Maybe you 'll have better luck. Positiv... View all feedback.
Maybe it's because I'm a city slicker with high expectations, but Dilly's just didn't cut it for me. Not the most veg friendly place, so I ordered a bunch of sides as a meal: a tossed salad, broccoli, corn and mashed potatoes. The large tossed salad was the star of the show it came with fresh ingredients at the very least. But it goes downhill from here. The corn was regular canned corn, not a huge surprise. The broccoli was soggy and drowning in watery oil, but was at least edible. Now for the worst part: the mashed potatoes. I probably would have bumped my rating up to 3 stars, but these mashed potatoes were literally the worst I've ever had. They had the texture of dried up play doh and tasted about the same. Yuck. No wonder they only cost $1.75. Oh well. Service wasn't bad. Ambiance is dive country with banquet chairs and tables. However, they do have a nice sized bar. There was also a Bluegrass band playing (Bluegrass isn't my cup of tea but it was nice to experience something different for once. $3 cover charge at the door for the band. Which brings me to the one good thing about this place: the prices are low. $4 for well drinks, I ordered a craft beer and it was only $4.50. There's 2 pool tables, and it's only 75 cents a game. Not bad. Oh, Dilly's. A place like this makes me glad to live where I do. It was an interesting experience. I would return, for drinks and pool only.
Dillys closed on October 31, 2019. Same owners since 1994...was a good late night bar and food when you are hungry.
Great food the roast beef sandwich was very good 2 for 20 special was good as well. Great service nice atmosphere.
I believe we are done with Dilly's. We've gone there since 2004, but it seems more recently there have been deceitful tricks regarding specials that are just the regular menu price or more. Also, we were weirdly charged for our drinks, where I ordered a hot toddy, the tea was a separate charge $1.50, than the alcohol $3.30. My husband got a house margarita which was supposed to be a special and a second with patron. The second he was charged the house margarita price $6.25 plus an additional $4.40; however the patron was not an extra in his drink, it was in place of the rail liquor. This restaurant is not upscale, and $10.65 for a cinco de mayo margarita with patron is not a special at all. Very disappointed, especially since many other comparable restaurants had $5 or less drink specials, which we went to afterwards. We have no problem paying a drink upcharge, but we feel the value and quality was not there.
