Nikki d... read more We decided to support a local business by trying out Umami for our first curbside pick-up experience. We have been to this restaurant many times before. Nikki did a great job preparing our orders and was very appreciative of our support. The menu was mostly the same as usual, but some dishes were not available to make takeout easier. I was disappointed that they did not offer sushi, but the goat cheese dumplings were fantastic and the spinach salad with figs was a hit. The vegan yellow curry dish was flavorful, but a bit too curry-heavy for my taste. The Indian winter soup had a good amount of vegetables but was too spicy for me. The portions were generous, and we had leftovers for later. Be sure to call ahead, park in front, and you can also go inside where Nikki will help you.

It's on the pricier side, but the portions are not small (unlike many other upscale restaurants), and the quality is great! The food is fresh, made to order, and delicious! Many dishes have Asian influence; you'll find a lot of Thai curries with great depth of flavor, as well as korean gochujang playing a star role in many dishes, and Indian spiced plates. However, you'll also find things like goat cheese, which you definitely wouldn't see in traditional Asian cuisines. It all works, and you cannot go wrong with whatever you choose! Here, you will be in a very capable Chef's hands.
