Bell and Flower is a wonderful spot to check out in downtown Chagrin Falls! We visited on a lovely 75-degree day and enjoyed the charming terrace seating, which was beautifully adorned with string lights. Upon entering, we were greeted by the open doors and windows in the front, creating a delightful airy atmosphere. The restaurant combines modern and vintage elements, with the exposed brick serving as a stunning accent. Thankfully, it wasn't crowded, which is a definite advantage since Sunday brunch tends to be busy at most places. The service was excellent and very attentive. I tried the "some pink bubbles" drink from their spring special menu, and it was delightful. For my meal, I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Eggs Benedict, which was fantastic. The chicken was crispy, the eggs were light and fluffy, and the English muffin was perfectly soft. My grandmother had eggs and French toast, which she said had the ideal texture. Fortunately, brunch is served until 4 PM, making it a great option for those who prefer to eat later in the day. If you're considering a visit, it’s definitely worth it!
I opted for a standard table in the dining area adjacent to the walkway, and I found the atmosphere to be casual and inviting. My server, Katie, was friendly and attentive. To start, I ordered the French onion soup, paired with unsweetened iced tea. For my main course, I chose the BLT sandwich, which was served with French fries. The BLT, made on sourdough bread, was simply delicious, featuring thick slices of flavorful bacon—so tasty! The restaurant's decor is somewhat dark, but the large windows allow plenty of natural light in during the day. On a breezy, cool afternoon at the end of March, there was a good amount of foot traffic along North Street, making it a great spot for people-watching. Bell Flower is very clean, and I found the unisex restrooms, including the one I used, to be well-maintained. As of late March 2022, employees were not wearing face masks, and most male patrons were also mask-free.
This is a fantastic spot for brunch and lunch. I enjoyed the goat cheese and roasted beet salad alongside grilled chicken, which was absolutely delicious. The mixed greens and pecans complemented the dish perfectly, and the dressing was nicely balanced. During our brunch visit, we also tried the shrimp and grits, which quickly became my favorite dish.
We love to come here especially in a beautiful night. The terrace is great! We always get the fried brussel sprouts, they are amazing, and each of their chicken dishes, like the house crushed chicken benches or one of their chicken sandwiches. If I say I never tasted chickens in my life better, I really mean it. It's so good. Drinks are also really good and service is always great! Only slight negative would I say the salads, we had both the house salad and the wedge salad and both cost a little Bland. Especially with the wedge, they usually have more taste, but the dressing tastes just a little watered. Not bad, just not great.
