Generous portions and eclectic menu selections. Not so much the fusion of foods and flavors I was expecting, rather a hodgepodge of Mexican, Chinese, and Thai with a few Sushi rolls on the menu. What Kerie Amsden doesn't like about Far West:
After 30 minutes of waiting at the table after we got drinks, I went to find our waitress. We asked if we could order and she apologized for forgeting us. Ok, annoying but it happens. I come to Chadron 1-2 times a year for work. I usually eat at Far West several times on each trip. The food is exceptionally good. I never found Thai food this good when I was living in Lincoln or Omaha. And Lincoln has some really good ethnic restaurants. Today I ordered a dine-in meal AND a take-out meal. My only regret is that I don’t want to embarrass myself by licking the plate in the restaurant — the Panang Curry was THAT good!
I've been to this restaurant quite a few times. The food is excellent fresh ingredients and good food with Thai, Chinese, Mexican, and a very limited sushi menu. This is easily the best place in town though the new Mexican restaurant may give them some competition on the Mexican food side. The wait time for food can be long, especially if the restaurant is full, but the wait staff is usually friendly.
Excellent food and service. The Asian menu was my go to add a vegetarian and it did not disappoint. The rest of our group enjoyed great enchiladas, Calamari, etc. The red and panang curry is fantastic, as is pas Thai.
Service was great. I'm sure other things on the menu are good but the Mexican was definitely not what i expected. Small towns
