We had the garlic soup which is a traditional Czech soup and it's hard to get it in a vegan version anywhere that veggie platters ask for a vegan version without the cheesecake. If you are tourist and want to see really old traditional Czech cuisine, this is a must! Updated from the previous review on 2021-11-27 View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Krcma U Dwau Maryi:
I will not recommend anyone to eat at this restaurant as they sell poorly prepared, old and horrible food. I had potato pancakes and they smeared like gum. if you want better food go somewhere else. View all feedback.
Since it is in a medieval city like the krumlov cesky, it is better than supper in a place of those who seem to have stopped the chronometer after some kind of magical alliance with the god cronos. And this is one of them. Joto on the edge of the river molava and overlooking the enviable castle, is a safe option to have something in this place. is decorated in the purest medieval style and, in fact, the construction has fully respected the history of the place. and the dishes. My mother, how embarrassed. Dinner there is imagined in a medieval party full of people drinking, eating and dancing. food in large quantities and with a delicious flavor to keep the memory of krumlov cesky as a place to visit every certain time.
Had a puffed barley dish wish mushrooms and green peas and a mixed salad. Staff was eager to understand me explaining to them what I eat as a vegan and what not but it didn't fully work out because the salad contained cheese. Anyway, I'll give them credits for trying and the barley dish which had a risotto like texture was really nice. If you dislike garlic and strong seasoning, however, be careful. The restaurant is located beautifully just by the river and even on a sunny day during the peak of high season when the whole small city was flooded with tourists and the restaurant was quite packed it still had a relaxed vibe.
