The Acorn - Ceredigion

Phoned order through but still had to wait 30 minutes for food to be cooked when arriving at the Acorn. Food extremely salty on all 3 meals, chips overcooked and fish disappointing, very small and not a lot of meat on them. I understand they were short staffed that day which is hard but it cost over £30 for 3 meals, complete waste of money. Won’t be coming here again unfortunately.

We thought we would give this place a chance despite the poor reviews on Tripadvisor...but unfortunately the reviews were pretty accurate! The chips were very overcooked, breaded plaice was rock hard and the battered cod looked anaemic. Waste of money.

Had a lovely pizza from here would deffo recommend, staff are really helpful too : as they went out there way to cater for my needs :

We went for food family and friends there was 6 of us and one of the kids asked for chicken burger and when it can out it was breaded chicken in the plate with no bun was impressed

I took a class of 26 5 year olds to Borth on the train but didn't want the hassle of lunch boxes/water bottles. Rang the restaurant for a quote for 26 child and 11 adult meals they couldn't do enough to help! The very kind owner and another lady very helpfully delivered our meals to the area my class were on the beach saving a couple of journeys. EVERYBODY loved them and nearly all of the children said it was their favourite part of the trip! Cost VERY reasonable, taste PERFECT! The only Chippy in the area I'll ever use again!
