We enjoyed this pub and food so much that we visited two nights in a row. The food is excellent, especially the specials which are freshly home cooked. It is also great value for money. The atmosphere in the pub is fantastic, and children are welcome in the restaurant area. There is also a lovely garden to sit in. We highly recommend this place. View all feedback.
What Frohlix doesn't like about Penllwyndu Inn:
We visit on a regular basis but, because of the 'bug ' have missed it greatly. The joy of the Sunday lunch has made it worth the wait and the food seemed better than ever; but we were still champing at the bit!!. We had a lovely meal here. This little pub was extremely friendly. The food was homemade and delicious! The beer was also great. Thank you to the very lovely owner and bartender who made us all feel very welcome
Had a lovely lunch here. Good homemade food nothing fancy just good home cooked Sunday lunch. Thoroughly recommended
As a visitor from Gloucestershire I've known this pub for some years. It is no exaggeration to say it is a very fine example of a traditional community pub of the best kind. The landlord is very friendly and welcoming and is well known for his culinary skills. Although I drink more wine than beer these days, I have it on good authority that he keeps his ales very well. The cosy bar area is comfortable and welcoming, and the locals are a thoroughly sociable and likeable bunch. I'd go so far as to say this is one of the friendliest pubs I've ever been to and, believe me, I've been to a good many! I make a special point of calling in whenever staying in Ceredigion or Pembrokeshire and I'm always made very welcome. I strongly recommend the Penllwyndu, which is a rare gem to be treasured.
