We have just returned from two nights and it has left a lasting memory, it's not often you get a hug and a goodbye from the owners when checking out! An absolute gem, as always! Keep up the good work lads! A great selection of local food, presented beautifully, what more could you ask for?

The wine list was fantastic and very refreshing to see good bottles of wine with a marginal mark up unlike some other hotel chains. If you want to get away from the soulless chain hotels and experience something a little different then look no further
Despite being one of the wettest weekends in wales. We stumbled across this lovely family run hotel. We had dinner in the library bar next to the log fire. We had a delicious little red wine and fine food. We ended up chatting to other guests and the owners, which made the evening a memorable night. We stayed in room 8, which was outstanding. Great views overlooking the grounds. The best thing is the bed,my wife and I had the best night sleep ever. When we dragged ourselves out of bed for breakfast this was also outstanding. I fully recommend this little bit of paradise.
Just occasionally, one stumbles across a venue that routinely exceeds expectations in all respects in terms of food, drink, attitude, service and hospitality. Hammet House in Llechryd, Pembrokeshire, is one such outstanding establishment. We arrived on time on a Friday night and sat in the bar with a drink my wife had a difficult choice as there were just so many flavours of gin to choose from. We were provided with menus and an extensive wine list to make our selections from. The menu is regularly changed, so even returning customers like ourselves are treated to something different on every visit. We both decided to try the duck for starters and while my wife had the fish for her main, I went for the steak and chip. After our orders were taken, we were shown into the dining room and invited to select a table. Breads were first up, along with our selected bottle of wine, shortly followed by our starters. The food was simply divine. Presentation, taste and textures were all superb. We finished our starters and waited for the main course, whilst enjoying some of the well chilled wine. What a treat that was. I really do think that the wine list here is one of the best I have ever seen in terms of range and depth. Mains arrived, and once again we were very impressed with the beautiful presentation, the taste combinations, and the quality of the food. Quite remarkable and absolutely 100 100 to the Chef. Thank you superb effort, thoroughly appreciated. After our mains were enjoyed, we both elected to have a dessert to finish the evening off, and were delighted to be surprised with two glasses of champagne and an additional chocolate and raspberry cake offering from the house as it was a birthday celebration. What a nice touch. Thank you. I've said this before, but I will repeat it for the benefit of new readers of my reviews if you are in Pembrokeshire and you wish to enjoy some excellent fine dining at its best, Hammet House is the place to visit (located at one end of the bridge in Llechryd). All in all, a wonderful and relaxed evening with some excellent food and drink. We look forward to the next one.
Stopped to charge electric car. Which they offer free. I opted for a pot of tea on the lawn with a light lunch. Excellent. Call again? Definitely.
