We love this place! We come here about once a week and the food is always fresh and stocked well. The staff is wonderful too. Ome specifically, is super friendly and knows us on a first name basis. It's great walking in knowing we'll be greeted with smile and a good meal. View all feedback.
What Brenda White doesn't like about Mezeh Mediterranean Grill (short Pump):
We usually love the quality of the food here. This past week when we ordered, the chicken tasted funny and made my husband feel ill after. Additionally, my pita bread looked like someone took a big bite out of it! More importantly, I noticed they changed the name of the Israeli couscous to Pearl Couscous. I can only assume why, and unfortunately they’ve lost us as customers due to that (I understand this is corporate... View all feedback.
The two servers were super. We explained it was our first time. Si they walked us thru, explaining everything. The end results were tasty both to sight and palate. Serving size was generous. They thanked us for trying them. From the outside, we weren't 100% sure it was open, but once inside, we saw quite a few customers also enjoying their creations.
Consistently excellent experience, and this Mezeh is no exception! Freidnkt staff assembles the bowl with a wide range of options grains, greens, meats, vegetables and spreads, cheese, mixed veggies, and sauces. I appreciated the porcelain bowl for dining in, a green choice that also takes the experience upscale.
I stopped by Mezeh last Tuesday and the employee was very stingy with the food but I let it go because I was only getting one thing. However, Thursday I went back to get lunch and I am so disappointed. I never submit any bad reviews or try to talk to the manager but today I can 't help but say something. I got 3 bowls and paid $19 for one, it is insane to say the least. First of all, nowhere in-store/ or on the menu online does it say that steak shawarma is an automatic $3 extra charge. On top of that, you would think after paying for it, I wouldn 't be served 2 teaspoons of it. So not knowing it is already charged for and the amount served not being enough, I paid extra to get more. What is upsetting is that I paid about $8 for steak shawarma altogether to get what I should have been given as a normal portion, it wasn 't extra meat just charged $5 to make up for what should have been given in the first place so that the customer doesn 't feel like they have to pay to get enough. My other bowls basically got all the leftover broken pieces of chicken kabob that are found at the bottom of the almost-finished container. Aside from protein, they are very stingy with toppings too, like a teaspoon of corn and such. Makes me wonder what exactly I paid almost $40 for, of which one was a kids ' bowl. I will add, the customer service was great, and the lady serving me was very nice, however, a business is not run just on customer service. Why run an establishment when you are not honest about giving people their money 's worth? I am not the only one who has experienced this, I looked at other reviews and others have the same thing to complain about. Clearly, it shows they don 't care as they continue to serve portions poorly. It is disheartening to love the food but not want to go back because you feel like you 're being ripped off.
I?ve tried delivery and was disappointed but decided to give it a chance with take out, via ordering in person, and for me it was night and day. I have yet to have a bad experience ordering in person and am always excited to get a bowl. The guy who works there, I don?t remember his name but I think it is Ome, is always so friendly and his recommendation on the spicy mango and tzatziki sauce mix is great. This is my go to place for a good bowl, especially when I want more vegetables to eat.
