Very basic cafe with a tonne of choices, I really didn’t know what to get. I opted for a fake fish stew, and it was delicious. Spicy but not too much heat. And don had some satay skewers, equally as good. Left very satisfied. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-25 View all feedback.
Tons of vegan options, ask the lady, she’ll give you a thumbs up. If your from the west, you can be intimidated (I was at first) but it actually was very fresh and flavored very clean and light. I highly recommend the Vegan Bao!!!
Yummy and nutritious food with reasonable pricing. Friendly staff with nice and cosy ambience.
Love the wokhey from their zichar dishes especially the sambal petai, mala tofu and fried bamboo shoot. The caifan are great too if wish opt for cheaper meal
Are you looking for an authentic restaurant that is not aimed at tourists but at locals? Doesn't look any further than Yi Xin, although the name seems debatable. It is listed as Yi Xin Vegetarian foods on Happy Cow, while it clearly says Yi Xin Vegan on the building. Being confused about it. I asked the owner what means vegan and what vegetarians. It turned out that the owner speaks very limited English and only knows some standard sentences to help foreigners. Luckily, a local came to salvation and interpreted. It turns out that the menu is indeed vegetarian, but most meals can be easily turned vegan. Under a chance, I ordered whatever you recommend and received a large plate of noodles and vegetables. It was delicious and fill, although a bit on the fat side. Given the authenticity, the low prices 6 for a large plate) and the variety in the menu, I recommend you to try Yi Xin. A word of warning: only cash.
Some great vegan cuisine with many options and mock meat! We arrived twice during our stay in Singapore as the food was amazing and really affordable!
