This is, by far, my favorite place in Central City to both gamble and enjoy their yummy beers. I love the history and preservation of the old buildings, and Dostal Alley has its own unique charm. Service has always been great. I skip Blackhawk (the sterile money pit) and continue the extra mile to C.C. View all feedback.
What Karol A doesn't like about Dostal Alley Casino Brew Pub:
I WOULD GIVE THIS PLACE A 4 STARS IF THE SERVICE WAS BETTER. When we got there a guy took our order he was nice along w the cook. However, we came back to eat there was an older white male man that was very rude. The first server didn't ask us if we wanted it for here or to go he just told us it would be 45 mins. So we walked to a bar. When we came back we sat down the older man yelled at us for not telling him we we... View all feedback.
I absolutely adore this charming little casino! You can enjoy games at the bar, sip on complimentary beers brewed on-site, and even have a freshly made pizza delivered right to your gaming table! The atmosphere is fantastic, and the staff is incredibly friendly, especially the bartender Shaun. We make it a point to stop by this delightful casino whenever we're in the area!
I would rate this place 4 stars if the service were better. When we arrived, the person who took our order was nice, as was the cook. However, when we returned to eat, there was an older white male staff member who was quite rude. The initial server didn’t ask whether we wanted our food to stay or go; he simply informed us it would take 45 minutes. So, we decided to walk to a nearby bar. When we returned and sat down, the older man yelled at us for not informing him we were dining in, claiming we were wasting his boxes. On a positive note, the food was good.
While my wife was shopping across the street and planning to join me for some gambling, I decided to relax with a Jameson. Eventually, I couldn't resist trying one of their dark amber ales. The restaurant has an old-fashioned charm that adds to its appeal. To cash out, you need to go downstairs, but you can also easily walk around the building from the street if stairs are a problem. The bartender upstairs was incredibly friendly, contributing to the nostalgic atmosphere of the place. And guess what? I hit a four of a kind! Woohoo!
The pizza here is fantastic! I highly recommend giving it a try. The seating is a bit limited, but it's nice to have that option while you wait for your food. Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5.
Decent selection of beers, but be cautious of a certain rude server who acts like she knows everything. Asking her for a beer while she’s behind the bar will earn you an annoyed glance, as if you’re not supposed to bother her. If that happens, just skip her and head downstairs to have someone else assist you. Here’s the plan: go straight down, or if you come in from the parking lot, grab your beer and pizza and sit outside, or take one of the few available booths. The other staff members are much friendlier. You’ll recognize this server by her unpleasant attitude, so it’s best to steer clear of her altogether. If the management got rid of this attitude, it would be a five-star experience. If I find out she’s one of the owners, regardless of how good the beer is, we won’t be returning.
