The staff at this restaurant is extremely friendly and the homemade dishes are delicious. It's wonderful to see Nikki and her team succeeding during these challenging times. View all feedback.
Stopped here for lunch (based on reviews). The food was lovely and as good as all the reviews! Such a lovely selection of goodies on offer and at good prices. The only downside is the size as it means there is very limited seating, made worse by Covid making everyone spread out so that 3 separate people took up all the available indoor seating. Still, take away is an option so that is what we did. Can't wait to go back! (the facebook page updates daily to show the menu for the day)
I have visited the hideaway a few times before and always enjoyed all the food I have bought.i decided to try there afternoon tea as a special treat for me and my wife.it was absolutely amazing.fresh sandwiches three different varieties scones with clotted cream and jam and three different slices of cakes.and a little chocolate cone.we where so full after that we had to eat our cake slices the following day.thank you for making my specal treat specal.
A petite Cafe that quite frankly is amazing! If you like friendly staff and tasty grub it’s for you.
It's called Hideaway because it's tucked away back from the main road and you could drive past without spotting the small sign flagging up where you need to go keep an eye out for it opposite the petrol station and make use of the free on street parking nearby. We combined our visit, prompted by curiosity as the name was a new one to me and I couldn't recall it catching me eye whenever I drove through Langford, with a stroll along the river because, well, there's not a lot else to do in these parts. But the welcome is warm, the coffee is good, the premises are a bit cramped but the customers were just as cheery as the staff and we all managed to sort out sufficient space. As well as catering to drop ins there's obviously a steady trade from locals picking up takeaways of daily specials, pies and the like. The specials menu is themed according to the day of the week jacket spud on Monday, a clever take on a roast on Friday, for example but generous sausage and bacon baps, superfood salads and other treats are laid on every day. The home made sausage rolls packed with more meat than half a dozen Greggs versions (and much tastier) are recommended, cakes were good too as well as a light lunch we headed off with bags full of goodies for later. We don't pass this way that often, but we will definitely be back.
If you haven't had the pleasure, you MUST pop in and try the freshly cooked food at The Hideaway in Langford! Lovely people, great food, great service! It doesn't get any better than this!
