Contribute FeedbackBiggleswade's dining scene has garnered mixed responses, revealing a blend of experiences. While many patrons appreciate the quick service and a decent selection of beers, there are notable concerns regarding food quality and management behavior. Guests have reported issues with undercooked meals and overcharging, indicating a lack of accountability. However, some diners enjoyed satisfactory breakfasts and found the restaurant a comfortable place for a quick bite. Accommodation reviews highlight spacious rooms and attentive service, though access could be challenging for those with mobility issues. Overall, while there are redeeming qualities, significant improvements are needed for a consistent dining experience.
We had a great experience at the Crown Hotel in Biggleswade. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were lovely during our two-night stay.
I stayed at this restaurant for 1 night over the weekend. I was initially skeptical as I had never heard of Weatherspoons having accommodation. When I arrived at around 5pm, the pub and bar area was very busy. It took a while for a staff member to serve us as there was no designated reception area for room bookings. The room was located up a steep flight of stairs, so it may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. The twin room was extremely spacious with a large bathroom. Although the room looked slightly worn, it was very clean. The hospitality tray was impressive, with multiple sachets of tea, coffee, milk, Oak milk, biscuits, and water. An ironing board, iron, and hairdryer were also provided. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Despite some noise from the bar, we were able to sleep well with the help of earplugs. Breakfast was served in the bar and was promptly delivered hot. Overall, I was impressed with my stay and would definitely return when in the area. Although there is no car park, there is one nearby that guests can use.
I visited this restaurant just under a week ago and discovered upon returning home that I had been charged for drinks I did not order. I reached out to customer service via email, but unfortunately, they have not taken any action to resolve the issue. Laura Barclay claimed that the matter had been passed on to the manager, but then ignored my subsequent email until I mentioned that I would be leaving a negative review. Despite my repeated requests for the company's complaints procedure, she has chosen to ignore them each time. It is unacceptable that this company is willing to overcharge customers for drinks they did not order and not take any responsibility for it. The manager of Biggleswade restaurant should be held accountable for this misconduct.
We went for breakfast before doing some shopping and were pleasantly surprised. The food was very nice and we didn’t have to wait too long for it to be served. All the staff were polite and helpful and you can have another cup of coffee free if you want to. We thought the food was reasonably priced.
Stayed on 9th June. It was our 2nd visit. It's great. Staff are lovely. Nice town to walk around. Visited The Wimpole Estate nearby.
