We booked The Snug"for a family meal for and had a fantastic time. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating and all the meals were great. Having the private room meant the kids could enjoy themselves without bothering other diners and a special shout...out must be given to our waitress, who was extremely efficient and a real delight. Thank you. We will be back soon to try some of the other delicious choices on... View all feedback.

Attended for a lunch with my sister and I'm a transgender female, only to be shown to a table and addressed as Sir of which I informed her I was not a Sir, we had a quick bite and left. I however reported what had...happened via email and got a call back saying no one admitted it but she was sorry and it was a family run business with family working there which just about sums up why they closed ranks. The Crown in Northill is a great place for a family gathering or Sunday roast, we were doing both. We pre-booked our table for 10, and Victoria was great at communicating with us by email. When we arrived they had set up a table for us in the 'snug ' and could not have been more welcoming. Jugs of water were ready on the table for the hot weather and the kids enjoyed being able to safely run outside to the play area. Some of us had starters and the stand out dish was the battered black pudding on a bed of bacon pieces, salad and mustard dressing. It was truly divine. Most of us had roast dinner, which was beef that day and it was very tasty. The Yorkshire was huge and there was a good selection of vegetables to accompany it. The gravy was thick and rich. Others enjoyed the expertly cooked duck and the burgers. The apple and cinnamon spring rolls were a nice twist on a classic dish. We were well attended to, drinks were offered throughout, staff were on hand and friendly and we were lacking in nothing. We had a really enjoyable afternoon together, which was lovely as family from abroad were visiting and celebrating with us, and The Crown was the perfect place to do this.
Lovely experience here the staff were very attentive. Prompt service and a gluten free menu. One level for access and facilities on the ground floor. The garden is also a nice place to sit and have food and a drink.i would recommend here very good value for money given the quality of food. We had another visit here and I had gluten free fish and chios and it was delicious
Food was amazing; Sunday roasts were huge. Unfortunately it seemed the regulars were visited and spoken too, but we were forgotten. When I booked and paid the deposit, I said we’re booking as we’re new to the area and it’s for my birthday. We were put in a room up some steps which was lovely, but after waiting a while, we had to get someone to take our order. Our starters took a long time to come, but the main…we didn’t get till gone 3.30, when our booking was at 1.30. We had a 4 year old with us that was starting to have a strop because he was so hungry. No one ever came to apologise, or update us nothing. My sister in law asked where our food was, and they said it was coming. 15 minutes later, nothing. It was warm today (finally), so I think there were a lot of walk ins but people who booked weren’t prioritised. The whole reason I booked here was so we could have a meal, then spend the afternoon in the beer garden, having drinks, so my nephew could play. Even his dessert we had to chase as no one ever came to our table. A huge family meal which I felt responsible for, as I booked, and the staff completely let it down. Really upset and disappointed. Felt very unwelcome.
We had lunch here with old friends and everything was perfect. Service, food and atmosphere all great.
