gets better every time I visit! excellent beer, good and inexpensive home made eating and beautiful staff. the pub itself is a quirky old building with characterful pockets and it also has a fair piece of space. View all feedback.
I recently enjoyed Sunday lunch at this restaurant with a group of friends to celebrate a 90th birthday. The food and service were excellent. Well done Nick, Michelle, and team!
The owners kindly allowed up to have our run club monthly meet up here. As all 30 Spider Runners descending on them they swift dealt with orders and all were sat having drink and great food in a blink of an eye. Lovely quirky pub with a wonderful atmosphere. Had most of our runners vowing to come back with their families at a later date. Wonderful service and we all left happy, hopefully they will host us again. Five stars for everything.
Great pub food great good as a Brit stop for campers love the owners very friendly and chatty would recommend
Beautiful historic pubs, lots of small rooms and famously ‘no bar’. Had a beautiful pint of Tring Brock Bitter, a lot of friendly locals when we went. All first name terms with the staff it seems who were also nice. The ploughman’s we had was okay, a lot of pickled bits and pieces in it. I think next time a more substantial meal as the couple next to us had a meal to make us jealous!
You would be pushed to find a more friendly pub than this the food is like mum makes real ales very friendly staff what more could you ask for in a small country pub stayed on campsite fab
