Diners appreciate the quick service and friendly staff, but concerns linger over the steep prices, with items often costing around $6. While the bagels themselves are tasty, some patrons find them occasionally stale and the cream cheese lacking in flavor. The establishment’s commitment to vegan offerings is commendable, yet many customers suggest that creating their own cream cheese or sourcing from a better brand would enhance the experience. Ultimately, while convenient, the high costs might deter repeat visits.
The restaurant offers Tofutti cream cheese in three flavors: sweet, plain, scallion, and almond milk for coffee. The service is quick and the staff is friendly. All bagels, including iced and French toast, are vegan. It is appreciated that they provide options, but it is suggested that they make their own cream cheese or use a different brand, as Tofutti has a bad taste and can ruin the bagel. While grateful for the vegan options, it may not be worth spending $5.71 on a Tofutti bagel with tax and tip again.
I have been to this restaurant two or three times and always order the roasted veggie sandwich with tofu cheese. It was delicious, but on the expensive side. I found it a bit outrageous to pay over $6 for it. I don't visit too often due to the price, but it's convenient to pick up on the way to the beach.
The bagels are tasty and the variety of three vegan cream cheese options is a nice touch. However, the pricing is quite high. I would rather bring my own cream cheese and save money.
It is so nice to see a bagel shop with non-milk alternative! but costs a bagel w vegan cream cheese almost $6. the crazy is because they can buy a whole tub of vegan cream cheese for $4! I'm just going here when I get bagels friends, because otherwise I'd just make them home
Desiree’s offers two types of vegan cream cheese as well as a huge selection of bagels (almost all of them are vegan).. it’s always very busy in there but that’s because the bagels are so good!
