While some diners rave about the delicious menu options, including prime rib and burgers, others found dishes like fish and chips lacking in flavor. Service experiences are varied, with some patrons enjoying attentive staff while others noted billing inconsistencies. The appetizers receive positive mentions, yet food quality can be hit or miss. Overall, it seems best suited for casual dining and drinks, particularly during happy hour. Many guests appreciate the welcoming vibe and plan to return for another visit.
All 5 stars for this eatery in Cedar Rapids! The menu is amazing, anything you get will be delicious. The owner waitresses are awesome! The atmosphere here is perfect. I love the lighting and how clean the restaurant is. You need to try this eatery out if you haven’t yet!
The restaurant is pretty. The service was alright. We got there with just over an hour of time with an average sized party. There was one large reservation there as well (as the only other guests at the time). Our server was a nice girl. The entrees were pretty mid, but had some good appetizers. On top of that, items came out raw or wrong several times. Then several people in our group got sick afterwards. The experience was a 4/10. It feels more like a place where you get apps and drinks during happy hour.
It is fabulous as far as food was excellent and prices and service great. We just didn't love how loud it was-we couldn't hear each other talking very well, and it's quite dark so we couldn't see well, either. I guess if you like a bar atmosphere, it's fine, but not for friends trying to catch up dining, or family atmosphere.
This was our first visit. Met the owner, Zuma, and she was so sweet and welcoming.I had the prime rib dinner and my husband had the walleye dinner. Both were fantastic. I also had creme brulee, which Zuma had made herself, and it was just perfect in every way!I highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be back.
Our waitress, Riley, did a fantastic job on our visit. She was attentive, friendly, and diligent; excellent qualities for anyone in and out of customer service. The food was impressive. One of the Thursday specials was the Beer Battered Cod. Their tartar sauce is freshly made, an excellent complement to the crispy yet moist fish. You get a generous portion for your main course and plenty of french fries (if you choose them as your side). The lemon wedges can help enhance the fish’s flavor even more.Their fries were perfectly crispy (golden brown, no less) and seasoned. None of them were dry or limp. Also, their cole slaw had a tangy dressing that I found delicious. It also helped that the slaw wasn’t overloaded with said dressing. In my eyes, Edison’s set the bar high for fish and chips and I’ll have no problem returning for another meal.
