I have had good experiences here before, but today was not great. We were say, and then waited 10ins before I go back to the hostess to find a server for us, since none greeted us. I had the brunch hash.it was soggy. The pepper to potato ratio was pretty skewed in favor of peppers. The papers were wet, like they were a day or two old, cut from freezer burned and/or poured out of plastic bag. The egg was undercooked,... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Grove Wine And Kitchen Cedar Park:
I really enjoy The Grove and have had some great experiences there, but this time was a bit disappointing. Our meal was rushed, leaving us no time to enjoy our drinks or even take a break between courses. Additionally, my fish dish wasn't prepared as well as it had been in the past. View all feedback.
More than just a good pizza. they have a very nice selection of appetizers and snacks with a look at the food restrictions.
Having made a reservation through OpenTable, I was kind of surprised to be seated in what I considered to be a bad location right opposite the kitchen swing doors. It was distracting, drafty and uncomfortable; but the place was full, and no other tables were available. Ok, dealt with that situation. We ordered several sharable plates between three of us, plus soup, one entree dish, and desserts. We could see the pricing, but being a special 'Holiday Luncheon ' we treated ourselves, but do find them overpriced for what you receive. The nicest item we had were the Asian Noodle entree dish.; nice flavor warm. The venison chili was OK, slightly warm; tiny portion for a $8 cup. The brussels sprouts was OK, not especially crispy or hot and drenched in balsamic. Did not like the meatballs, they were cold, dry, and I personally do not like fennel. The calamari were just warm, bland, pale, small and more chewy than normal. The one crabcake, we split into three, and it gave us about a bite each for $21 found this rather expensive! It was a little dry and bland too, along with being cold. Desserts were nothing special and grossly overpriced. Did I complain at the time no; I was in good company, and did not want to appear unreasonable and nit picky. The Server was friendly, and we could see she was busy; we tipped over20% for her service. Overall, food was passable, mainly warm, but far too expensive, even for a 'treat '.
Excellent service, awesome food, and great ambience!!
I had the grouper. While the fish was excellent, the sauce overpowered it and ruined the rice and vegetables.
The egg was undercooked, the whites were runny. The entire dish was under seasoned. The server came around for our order, to drop off food and drop off the check. It was very mechanical feeling. We'll try again sometime, but today was not good.
