Ever since I was little we've eaten here and it's still the best place in town to get great asian cuisine. The broccoli is made perfectly every time! In my 32 years, I've never had a bad experience here. The food is always top notch. One thing I will say, I use to be able to get a bigger tub of the Sambal Chili Sauce, BUT I am older now so in a weird way, thank y'all! Can't wait to see y'all soon!! View all feedback.
What Elaine Sloan doesn't like about Fire Bowl Cafe:
We ordered 2 entrees and had the sauce mixed in. Neither entree had enough sauce. We are wondering if they forgot to add it or if people usually get it on the side and they forgot to add it to our order. The rice and vegetables were excellent. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free is marked on the menu. Wheelchair accessibility: Double wide entry doors. Tables are well spaced with plenty of room in between them. View all feedback.
I would rate this place 3.5 out of 5 stars. Honestly, the protein options all tasted frozen and not very fresh. If you prder the beef or shrimp, expect it to be similar to your average chain chinese food proteins. Can't speak on the chicken because we didn't try it. The egg rolls and crab rangoons however, as well as the sweet and sour sauce that came with them, were great!
This location is excellent! The restaurant is clean, the atmosphere is great and the food was perfect. We will definitely be back to this location, which is conveniently located near the Children's Hospital and Lakeline Mall.My choice? The General Tso's chicken with brown rice, extra spicy. Make sure and ask for the spicy oil if you like your cuisine a little spicier than normal. Kid-friendliness: This location has plenty of low seating for young children. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp up to the restaurant.

The pineapple fried rice is to die for. A once a month craving...at least.
I recently visited Fire Bowl Cafe in Austin, TX, and had an outstanding dining experience. I ordered the crab rangoons, a pork egg roll, and fried rice bowl with bell peppers, green onions, broccoli, carrots, and edamame. The crab rangoons were crispy on the outside and delightfully creamy on the inside, with a perfect balance of flavors. They were not oily or cold which happens time to time at other places. The egg roll was fresh and crunchy, with a savory filling that left me wanting more. I just like to dip it a lil in the sweet and sour sauce and make it a lil saucey!! The highlight of my meal was the fried rice. It was perfectly cooked, with each grain having the right amount of bite. The combination of bell peppers, green onions, broccoli, carrots, and edamame added vibrant colors and fresh flavors, making the dish not only delicious but also nutritious. I also get an extra egg inside it so give it that extra flavor that’s a lil Smokey ! The vegetables were cooked to perfection, maintaining their crunch and enhancing the overall texture of the dish.I also like to get the hot oil on the side so I can pour it in a lil bit at a time and a little looped d loooop of peanut sauce I usually ask for this after I get my meal it’s an extra kick to the bowl that I must have every time. So The service was prompt and friendly, the lines are only long during lunch but usually after 3pm it’s very quick and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Fire Bowl Cafe is definitely a spot I've be returning to for the last 20 years seriously whenever I'm in the Austin area I make sure to hit it up every other time I go.i Highly recommended for anyone looking for delicious, fresh Asian cuisine in Austin try it let me know how it goes loves!
