Was TheLonote at The Tipsy Cow And Grill a mag?
This place had such good food and a wonderful Gulf view, we went there twice. First visit, we had Grouper Sliders w/ chips and salsa. Joel was our server and he made sure we had everything we needed. It was such a fine experience; we returned the next day and had the Shrimp Quesadilla. Although Joel was not our server, he remembered us and stopped and greeted us. Food: 5 View all feedback.
What Mike Dociu dislikes about The Tipsy Cow And Grill:
Have never been treated as rudely in an establishment as We were today. Unbelievable nasty people running this place. And your response will probably show people your true attitude towards a 69 yr old man that had his own restaurant for 21 yrs. I’ve been all around the US cuz I dive truck and before that I was house manager for 3 years at an outback. I never seem more disrespected in this place, should’ve known something was up when it was practically empty especially when steamers was closed that day right down the road, they should’ve been packed with people for food. And if I was manager there, that server would most likely lose their job if not a couple days. There is no reason for the service attitude or being disrespectful. It was very unprofessional. None of us will be going there again.
Great service, food and views. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Nice little dive on the water. I think the area could have been what Front Street on Maui might have looked like back in the 50s. We took seats on the deck. There was a nice breeze and beautiful weather. I was drawn in by the menu we found online. The Cobra Kai burger sounded amazing. When I ordered,I was told the cook was very serious about the temperature of the meat ordered, so I asked for mine just north of medium. I also ordered 6 wings to be covered in General Tso sauce. The hamburger meat came out north of medium well; no pink at all. The wings were super well done and difficult to eat. Our waitress was great. She told her stories about the latest hurricane. The food wasn't inedible by any means, but the hype outperformed their actual product.
To celebrate our 25th anniversary in Cedar Key, my wife and I stopped by the Tipsy Cow for lunch while we waited to check in. My wife ordered the chicken wings (hell’s garlic) and I opted for the blue burger. The burger was cooked to a perfect medium rare, bursting with flavor and topped with just the right amount of blue cheese. The wings were tender and the sauce had a perfect balance of garlic and heat. It was a fantastic dining experience and a wonderful way to kick off our weekend. Prices ranged from $10 to $20 per person.
The tacos are excellent! The waitress is very friendly and helpful. The view is gorgeous. I give a 5 out of 5 for the service, food, and atmosphere. This restaurant is great for a dine-in dinner, with prices ranging from $10 to $20 per person.

Additionally, we did not bring in any outside food or drinks. There was no signage indicating where to go with our leashed dogs, so we assumed it was okay to walk through the empty dining room. However, we were scolded by the hostess who watched us walk through. Avoid this place!
Absolutely amazing little small spot to stop and eat with an amazing view! I ordered Blacked Mahi tacos caught fresh that morning. They were to die for! The staff was so warming and funny and honestly the best kind of small town love! The atmosphere was awesome so much to look at and eat you food on a pier over the water!
The view, the atmosphere, and service were great. The coconut shrimp were fine if the best I've ever had. A great place to have a meal and a drink right on the water.
Margaritas were delish but tacos were very small. I felt serving sizes were small. Tacos are mini size. Waiter was nice, food was hot. Just felt it wasn’t a good value for what we paid.
We ordered shrimp, asparagus, baked beans, and brisket tacos at the restaurant. The tacos were delicious, and the shrimp and asparagus were great. However, the baked beans had a strange lemony flavor. We also enjoyed frozen drinks to cool down in the heat. Our waitress was efficient but appeared snarky when another table needed help. The view from the restaurant was fantastic, and we even spotted dolphins.
