Drove up to this place from San Bernardino. It's a great ride with awesome lookouts. Stopped in RB's Steakhouse for dinner. The food was delicious, and the service was great. The staff is fun and friendly. Recommend the Serf and Turf. View all feedback.
What Linda Yoder doesn't like about Rb's Steakhouse:
I placed a to-go order and when I arrived, it took 15 minutes for anyone to assist me. After that, I waited another 10 minutes just to pay, and it took three people to finally find a lid for my drink. The food itself is tasty, but unfortunately, by the time I got home, the fries were soggy and I had to throw them away. The service was quite disappointing. Food terrific Service great Ambiance needs improvement on ambiance. Pictures on walls. Kind of depressing . Not cozy.
The chicken leg was smaller than my palm was way too crispy (burnt). The server was great, it wasn't her fault. It's not really what I consider a steakhouse, but there was not many choices near the lake.
Not one to complain, but our waitress was about as enthusiastic as I am when it 's time to write the IRS a check. I understand that we 're in the mountains and efficient service is not what we 're expecting but Geezus. Maybe our waitress was having a bad day being that she was the only one tending about 8 people or so. I wanted to ask her why are you here ! Even molasses moved faster than she did. I get it we all have bad days but whoever is managing this place needs to step it up. Even with this not so enjoyable experience , I still tipped 20%. Now I 'm thinking why did I do that? It 's not fair to the servers/waiters that are fast and efficient. I will re-think how much I tip next time I encounter a Debbie Downer waitress. Just an honest Joe 's opinion.......don 't hate.
We chose this place based on the reviews that while they place wasnt fancy the steaks were great. These were NOT great steaks. Or people who left reviews didn't know what good steaks were. From the tables to the sevice to the food this was not a place to take a date or celebrate an occasion. I should have just grilled steaks myself.
Ordered the cowboy steak and was very disappointed. Steak was over cooked and not a very good piece of meat. Not even sure if it was a ribeye. Restaurant is very outdated. Save your money and go someplace else.
