Bakeries in Iowa! I keep running over campus for my favorite songs. The owners are some of the most friendly people you will find. Prices are fair for size and quality. I recommend this bakery to everyone. I also love to support local businesses, so this place is my goal.
Milkbox Bakery is fantastic! I visited for the first time today, and I’m definitely coming back. The owner was wonderful and took the time to help me choose what I wanted. Supporting local businesses is the way to go!
The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, just like the entire staff. You can sense their genuine commitment to success, which comes from impressive leadership that’s refreshing to see in a local business. The baked goods are worth every penny; they are the best I’ve had in the USA. Seriously, stop it. The chocolate brioche was fantastic, and the cinnamon rolls might even have a hint of orange zest? Absolutely great!
We finally had a chance to stop in this morning. Lovely atmosphere, lovely service. It's going to take all my willpower not to stop in every day! We tried the cinnamon roll, an almond pastry, and flourless chocolate cake. All amazing. Can't wait to try the bread we brought home for dinner.
I sat down and was munching on a loaf of sourdough and before I knew it I almost ate the whole thing. This is real bread made by people who know what they are doing. This is bread I've been waiting for locally for quite some time and finally somebody talented enough has stepped up to the plate to do bread the only way it should be done, properly. Other bakeries won't put in the time and effort to learn how to make bread but this is where the buck stops. You want good bread this is where to go. Accept no substitute, there is a new queen in town and we all hope this is just the beginning of many great things to come from this bakery. This is what a local food scene is all about. Don't bother with other places that bake things and try to pass it off as bread, this folks is the real thing. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to finish the rest of this sourdough and chocolate brioche because folks it is that good. Keep up the great work!
