Stoneboat Pinot House - Cawston Canada

We had a great experience here. Blake was fantastic. Even my daughter, who is 16 said this was the best tasting she had ever been to, because Blake did such a great job explaining it all.

We had a delightful experience wine tasting at Stoneboat winery. We booked a seated garden tasting. Blake was our amazing host for our tasting- he is also the tasting room manager, he is clearly passionate about wine and passionate about Stoneboat wines! Our experience was not only tasty but very educational. Blake was easy to talk and engaged our many questions. As we lingered finishing our ice wine Andrew the vineyard manager I believe?! stopped to chat he too was so engaging, passionate about their wines and willingly spent time educating us on more aspects of the wine making industry. Such a great experience! Definitely recommend a visit! And definitely take home so wine!

We stopped by Stoneboat for a tasting and it was fantastic. We had an awesome conversation about wine and tasted some deliciousness! The price point for quality is amazing. I think the Pinot Gris is fantastic, rosé is delicious. I had the bubbly at The Dream Cafe last weekend! If you’re looking for a chill wine tasting this is a place to try. This was our best experience in Oliver. We rolled up with no reservation, there was only one other tasting going on when we were there. We sat outside with our dog. The man doing our tasting was awesome, had great info about the wine and about wine in general. He was super knowledgable while staying approachable. Wines were really awesome here, the property and little house is super cute. The ice wine was out of this world, had to take 2 home.

We had tried to go for a tasting at this winery last year but they seemed very busy but yet very few people in there at the time (bit disorganized that day I think) – no one greeted us or acknowledged us so after five minutes or more we left.Fast forward to this year, we tried again. Even though they (one lone man and his 1st day on the job sidekick) immediately greeted us with a warm friendly “Hello Friends!”. This was our gracious sommelier Andrew. Andrew seated us outside and even though he was busy busy, he made each and everyone of his guests feel like “Guests”. Andrew was very knowledgeable about the wines and extremely personable. The wine tasting was our favourite of our trip and we will return each time we are in Oliver or anywhere near by. The wine also was really good.So glad we went back this year! Cheers Andrew!
