Caulfield Glasshouse - Caulfield East

This was a family birthday dinner gathering and while I found the menu a bit underwhelming and slightly overpriced, it is a great place for kids as they have a fantastic games room. The Garlic Pizza starter was the standout dish and a must-try. The website mentions that kids eat free on weekdays, although this was not visibly advertised inside the restaurant so be sure to inquire about this offer. The kids' meal also included ice cream which made it a good deal. Overall, this restaurant is very kid-friendly.

Originally you would order and pay for the food at the same time at the counter. Table service was good and food was good. After a recent renovation, you now order your food from a waiter at the table. The problem is when there are more than 2 people, like a party of 8 - 10 people that we have had on a number of occasions and you have to stand and tell the cashier what you ate from the bill. This seems to take forever and long queues form as various groups try to pay. You don't want to be the last person of your group to pay,because you can be left with extras that you didn't have but somebody else enjoyed and forgot they had had it. It is an absolute pain in the neck and unless things change we won't be back. Also the seniors meal portions are extremely small compared with other similar establishments and not good value. We actually had to order more food as the seniors fish portion was too small to even be an entree. We tried to order coffee & tea but the waitress walked away so quickly as she was in such a hurry to clean up and go. Finally a waiter came over as he could see how angry we had become. Usually service is quite good except at the cashier.

There are not many places whre the food is nice and kids get to play. However the glasshouse ticks both of these boxes. What more would you want.. we come here every few months.

My family and I used to visit the Caulfield Glasshouse every few months and always enjoyed the delicious food. Since they renovated to include a kids play area, we now go there at least once a week. The food is top quality and the service is fast and friendly. Recently, we held all three of our kids' birthdays there and I want to give a big shout out to Trevor (the manager) and Melody. The staff were all talented and kind, but these two went above and beyond to accommodate our large group of over 50 people, including 25 kids. The head chef even took time out of his busy schedule to meet with us and ensure all our needs were met. They reserved a large section of the venue for us and let us decorate as we pleased. The kids' meals were all served at once, followed by an impressive amount of delicious food for the adults. Even though our group kept adding to our orders, they continued to bring everything out quickly. The drinks were flowing, the food was abundant, and the managers and staff were always looking for ways to cater to our needs. It was truly a 5-star experience and a day that we and our guests won't forget. Thank you so much for making our kids' birthday party stress-free and a big hit with our guests. We can't wait to come back for the amazing Nasi Goreng and killer chicken burger. Your food and customer service are truly outstanding. Nasso and Penny :-)

I recently had my child's birthday party at the Glasshouse and it was absolutely fantastic! I have never written a review before, but I had to commend the venue for exceeding our expectations. The event Manager was wonderful to work with and the staff were attentive to every detail. The setup was beautiful and the afternoon ran smoothly, with all 25 kids' meals arriving at the same time and a delicious buffet for the adults. The food was fresh, flavorful, and so tasty that we had to order more. The kids had a great time in the new playground, which was perfect for all ages. This venue is perfect for hosting events or dining casually. A big thank you to the staff at the Caulfield Glasshouse for their amazing service! You guys are awesome!
