Bar Restaurante Via Verde - Caudiel

This is exactly what we were looking for when looking for a breakfast place. Good food, great atmosphere with locals and really good prices. The quintessential Spanish bar!

Despite booking and them not being full we waited at the table for 40 minutes before being acknowledged, and a further 20 minutes before having our order taken. I would have been content with at least them taking our drinks order while we waited but nothing. It seemed when the food begun to arrive that we we getting left overs, uneven portions, some lacking ingredients, others no, the food was cold too. When we eventually decided to speak up, the boss came out to speak to us, blaming us for coming on a busy day without a hint of apology for our substandard food and service. This prompted some of the group to leave there and then. In principle I wish I had too but decided to wolf down the cold food as I was so hungry. I'll choose another place next time.

An excellent visit with good food and attentive hosts. Because we had booked and the owner knew we were English he had gone to the trouble of writing out the menu in English for us. Well done!

We were in the holy week and very good success, a deal like home, very nice and friendly and a quick service. Dinner and breakfast, tapas dinner and snacks, everything was very good and at its point, special snacks are spectacular. thanks to manuela and toni. We hope to repeat it again.
