Contribute FeedbackWe stayed one week in this area and went there twice for dinner. Very friendly staff, they know what they’re doing! Location is beautiful and if you are lucky you’ll get a table front line next to the water (I recommend to make a reservation the evening before you want to eat there, worked out well for us; as between 8-10pm the place is very busy, especially around weekends). The food is nice, but maybe not your place if you are not a fish-eater. We did like it very much, from their starters (Cozze, Vongole) to their main dishes (different types of fish). It comes at a cost compared to other restaurants in this area, but it was absolutely worth it. We paid 60-70€ for 2, with a shared starter, main dish each, water and a bottle of wine. Will come back next summer!
We had just traveled 3.5 hours from Bolzano and checked into our less than stellar hotel to discover all lunch places were closed. How fantastic it was to find this place still open and so welcoming. They definitely deserve their Michelin mentions. Loved our seafood and wine. Nice view over the canal. Great!
Only good thing was the service. Food didn't taste anything, fish was covered with bread which covered the fish taste complitely. I won't be going back.
Having spent a lot of time inland Italy this summer, we were eager for nice fish. And at Il Traghetto we were NOT disappointed. We both had turbot which was perfectly cooked, and a lovely bottle of chilled white wine. The table, just by the canal gave us some entertainment as boats drifted past, the service was tops, the weather brilliant... it was exactly what we wanted. Highly recommended if you're hoping for excellent seafood.
We decided to have dinner based on the good feedbacks from TripAdvisor. The cooking is delucious. Very sophisticated courses. However is a Little bit expensive.
