The Hildyard Arms - Catterick

One of the best places I stayed during my coast to coast during the camping. the pub is on the trail so they can't miss it. there is a large garden on the back to place a tent and the toilet/shower facilities are better, then they are on some professional camping sites. the staff here are very friendly and helpful and have a great meal with more than enough calories to get me through the next day of hiking.

Beautiful pub with fab customer service. I have worked there and know the first hand that the personal for the customers will go beyond and beyond. reece and mike are beautiful, attached is a sweet heart and brigette is so inviting and her eating is fab. the masters all know how to have a good time and would welcome everyone. dogs welcome inside and pub often small events. they can place their tents in the garden for free when they can buy a pint (has showers and toilet facilities) or pay a small fee for a nice Gypsy style room. all rounds a beautiful pub xx

I went to watch a football match and have dinner with my family, who had never been to this place before. The staff were a humble and unique group of men who were incredibly helpful, even though they seemed a bit overwhelmed at the time. The dinner was great; I really enjoyed it. The chocolate pudding was massive, and I was still stuffed four hours later. The Hill has always been my favorite pub in the world, and that hasn't changed. Now my family feels the same way and they’re eager to return for dinner. Many thanks, Tony Mills.

We visited Hildyard Arms and spent a night camping there while doing the C2C walk. We want to express our gratitude to the owners for the wonderful meal and their kindness and hospitality! We highly recommend this pub to everyone!
