We’ve been to Port Clinton many times over the past few years and have never eaten at Jolly Rogers so this year we decided to stop. We were able to beat the dinner rush, barely. There was a line when we walked in but not too bad. We were able to order rather quickly and be seated. What S R doesn't like about Jolly Rogers Seafood House In Port Cl:

Batter was thin and soggy. Everybody was a bit deflated after several bites. Fish tacos were an absolute disaster. Lots of leftovers but no desire among us to doggie-bag any of it. If you are looking for fish and chips, this place has you covered. I ordered perch, and it did not disappoint. Just the right amount of breading to compliment the fish. Tartar sauce was good with maybe a touch of mustard to make it interesting.
The perch, waffle fries onion rings and Cole slaw were excellent! Our meals were a real treat. We dined in!
I stopped by while on vacation with my friends from college, one of them hyped this place up a lot and i was not disappointed! the seafood is made fresh and not to mention you can watch them bread the fish while you’re waiting in line! also, the prices are very cheap for the quality of food that you’re getting, it’s amazing!
Average food. Bland flavor for the fish. Shrimp was ok. The cocktail sauce was on par. For the average palate. I can’t recommend this. Prices are very expensive for what you get.
The perch seemed flavorless. Missing that distinct perch flavor. Fries were cold.
