Rifugio Sapienza - Catania

The Rifugio Sapienza has a good restaurant offering a range of local dishes and massive pizzas. The plates are clearly designed for hungry hikers returning from trekking the mountain: the portions are substantial. On the nights we were staying, this was packed with people who had driven up just for their evening meal. Prices are reasonable, especially considering that all the ingredients have to be brought up the mountain.

Maybe it was the thin air. Maybe it was the long walks on the mountain, but we simply loved their Pizzas. Some of the best we've ever had. Also really good and friendly service, where they are more than willing to give good recommendations on the surroundings or the best wine in the area.

I enjoyed a great restaurant on food and drink, I can highly recommend to all, stram and young people

Nous avions une chambre à l'hôtel, donc le soir, nous avons décidé de prendre le repas du soir sur place. Un accueil chaleureux un serveur qui parle très bien français et un repas plus que copié nous ne pouvions même pas finir nos assiettes. Bravo un grand moment

Con una vista spettacolare sulla costa sud-orientale della Sicilia, si mangia in una grande sala rispettando rigorosamente le norme anti-covid. Tutto è fantastico, dalla zuppa di verdure con crostini di pane fritto ai maccheroncini con calice, porcini e salsiccia, dallo stinco con verdure e patate ai funghi alla griglia fino al taglio con porcini. Tutto di altissima qualità. Birre artigianali dell'Etna. Prezzo adeguato.
