The welcome aperitiv was a nice surprise, as per food- we had donkey (carpaccio and steak), fish woth pistacchio and cheese- was fresh, tasty, corect portions. Desserts also rates 5 stars. The owner (a charmant lady) involved and intersted to be helpful, the staff also very attentive and nice.
What a fabulous meal, excellent service and incredible food, highly recommend the veggie starter, pasta alla norma delicious. For secondi piatti had to have a couple of sides but still lovely. Was really nice to meet the owner too
Came here in our hotel recommendation and were not disappointed. Everything was excellent. Tried the donkey filet and it was amazing. The pasta was delicious, and the staff did an excellent job. Most of them spoke English. The deserts were also great. Loved the atmosphere and service. Highly recommend.
What a gem this restaurant is! Tucked away off the busy street, the inside is bright, welcoming and comfortable. We were well taken care of and enjoyed our meal immensely. Our server brought a plate of “welcome” snacks to enjoy as our appetizers were prepared. He also selected a wine in our price range that paired perfectly with our dinner. The mackerel with avocado and the crispy donkey were delicious. We followed the appetizers with two pasta dishes cooked to perfection. Highly recommended!
We visited with high hopes on a recommendation from the Michelin guide. The staff were very good and attentive and the surroundings are nice. The range of wines is very good too. However, the food completely let us down. As a starter we had a selection of local cheese that was good (no cooking involved) and the crespelle which were a mixture of anchovy and ricotta. The anchovy crespelle were very good but the ricotta were bland and mushy, when they should be crispy. Main courses were more of a problem. My snapper stew had over cooked the fish and the broth was so salty none of the other ingredients could be tasted. My wife’s spaghetti with tuna and a local Favignana tomato-based sauce was bland with virtually no tuna and tasted like what we may have made for our children when they were small. We fed back to the waiter but no compensation was offered or received. What a shame. Another Michelin recommendation awaits on Sunday and we have our fingers firmly crossed!
