Who would go eat at IKEA! And write about it? Well I've been told not to miss this diner and since I was shopping there I decided it's worth letting folks know about it. IKEA diners apparently serve the same fare the world over. And it's a Scandinavian (Swedish) theme they adhere to. So staple are the Swedish meatballs (Polpette Svedese). You walk along metal gates (like at the baggage drop) pick a tray, queue at the counter and make your choice. The food is most times lukewarm, the fries a little stale, the salad browning. The staff are a little surly...like not bothered to speak English and rolling their eyes when you want to know if the meals may contain allergens. Bottom-line... It's a cheap, poor fast food diner. You're better served at McD's!

We recently visited Ikea and felt so at home. We had lunch in the cafeteria and browsed the store. As americans it felt nice to just relax and walk through the store. It also was helpfully that many of the workers spoke English, while we do speak some Italian it was nice to speak in English.
