Amazing food. The appetiser was a blast (certainly one of the best I ever had). Portions are very large the (very kind and professional waiter) suggested to share. Highly recommended. View all feedback.
What rovida60 doesn't like about Gaetano:
Very crowded premises of tourists famous for pizza. I must say that fame is widely deserved, the pizza is great and the terrace on the sea very cozy. Try to get there a bit before the peak hour because tourists come to fags View all feedback.
As per title. I'm sorry for the title in rhyme but it was really so! : Franco Famiglia offer both welcome and a truly “hot” and memorable culinary experience. If you then figure out how they came back after the local fire, it's almost a miracle to see people with so much passion and free smiles. Given this ...More of the local tradition clearly almost exclusively based on fish dishes. Fish raw material acquired directly by fishermen not by everyone because it serves a special authorization from the Ministry of Agriculture MIPAF Plentiful portions. Plus: Family environment. friendly and friendly TOP, open kitchen. Non-banal prices but the fish “right” pays the right 70/80 euros per head over drinking One of the 2 best locals on the island. Council without reserve if you like the genre.

The restaurant wasn’t very busy a Sunday, late September but the owners were super friendly. The husband/chef recommended the food and it was simply excellent pasta with seafood, enough for 2 hungry people….great wine, deserts were local and also excellent. Best of all were the owners who chatted with us throughout. I’m definitely going back!!!!
On the tiny island of Volcano off Lipari. On the southern most tip. Your'll not trip across it by chance, so get off the beaten track to find the most unspoilt hillside, leading to the historic (now derelict) lighthouse, and eat overlooking the sea. We met the owner by chancel, he stopped to help us with directions, and he then offered to open up his restaurant just for us. The lunch of our trip followed. Course after course of marinated fresh fish melted in our mouths, washed down with wine from Piano and his own madeira type wine. Avoid the crowds, and visit. It's a destination in itself, with stunning beauty, remoteness and reminiscences of times gone by. The husband and wife team, could not have been friendlier, more accommodating, and welcoming to us. A shere gastronomic delight.
