Enjoyed portavogie scampi(good to see local produce) well presented in tortilla basket with tasty dip and salad, chips well cooked and hot. Was special on board menu, felt we made good choice. Friendly service, would recommend View all feedback.
What DCMC doesn't like about Bistro:
Had high hopes as loads of money spent on place but obviously the same chef. Panini poor. A sliver of fillings inside. Poor quality brie. The worst chips I've ever tasted. Don't know how on earth they could go so wrong. Won't be back. View all feedback.
So gorgeous breakfast we had there. Fry, soda bread amazing . Ordered some coffee too. Overall we enjoyed.
Newly refurbished. Pleasant. Average food at way over the top prices. We were a party of four and were charged extra for a spoonful of gravy. I thought this was mean.
Was looking forward to going for Sunday tea at the newly refurbished restaurant but I can honestly say the experience was so disappointing. Service was poor from beginning to end. We were seated and no drinks order taken, we had to go to the bar ourselves. Two of the fours of us ordered starters but soup very salty. Three of us ordered the same main meal of chicken stack, when they came one was only half the portion of the other two and had more bacon and cheese than chicken, I mentioned this to waiter who then sent over a more senior female waitress, who frankly was rude and disinterested, but offered to arrange for more chicken to come out, well as I write this comment four hours later I am still waiting. The chicken which I did get was tough and tasteless. The wrong side orders came out and we had to continually ask for drinks which surprise surprise they got wrong. We asked for sweet menus of which we received two different menus, so had to wait to have them sort out which was the right menu and after we ordered dessert, well guess what they came back a few mins later to say what we ordered was no longer available. Apart from the good company of friends I can truly say haven't had a more disappointing experience in years. I will definitely not be back or will I recommend to anyone.
Went there for a family Sunday lunch yesterday and it was amazing , beautiful food and very good service, large portions ensure you won't go home hungry. The Roast Beef dinner was amongst the best I have ever had. It was clean plates all round. 3 adults and 2 kids having mains courses, deserts and drinks came to £83. Not bad. I will be back again.
Been a while since we had lunch here, always very good, usuall good quality and good quantity.Well its still like this however the surroundings have changed, its had a total facelift, very modern take, waiters with aprons you know that sort of thing, very nice change.Food still very good if it was me I would loose the we dishes, chips and gravey and other things come in little bowls looks good but not necessary, overall very nice modern wine bar feel, good service, plenty of staff in the restaurant, good effort well done.
