Was Anonym at Gregory's Garden a mag?
We had a really lovely experience this morning at this charming spot in Castlegregory. Fresh scones straight out of the oven, served with a smile at a very reasonable price in a lovely outside seating area. Very pleasant altogether. Toilet was spotless too! Thank you. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Gregory's Garden:
Last night there was no child menu, refused to take debit cards (only cash), then told us that we had to eat outside when the children wanted pizza, told us we had to get our own cutlary. shocking customer support and experience. we're here after 10 minutes. View all feedback.

Very good restaurant with good value for money. The dishes are cooked and original. I recommend! It is possible to be indoors (see to book or come early) for a more festive atmosphere (music quite strong) or sheltered terrace (see a wool). Only flat, the vanilla ice a little too light in taste.
This restaurant offers great value for the price. The dishes are expertly crafted and have a unique twist. I highly suggest trying it out! You can choose to dine inside for a vibrant atmosphere with loud music (reservations recommended or come early) or on the enclosed terrace (bring a blanket). The only downside is that the vanilla ice cream could use more flavor. The service is exceptional and deserves a 5-star rating, just like the food and ambiance. On average, expect to spend €40-50 per person for dinner.
Despite Google indicating that the restaurant is open, it is actually closed.
The restaurant has the best atmosphere on a winter evening. The service is rated 5 out of 5, and the atmosphere is also rated 5 out of 5.
Good food and excellent service! What's not to like. We first sat in the window, but this was too hot for us, so they quickly moved us inside. Be aware that they don't take credit cards. Service: Dine in

Visited Gregory’s on a Sat evening with a table for 4 that was booked the week before. Firstly we stood at the garden entrance to see the owner Greg giving out to a staff member who was pouring beer clearly the wrong way! We were put out in the garden area even though there was a 5 seater empty table available in the restaurant. After much arguing about sitting in the restaurant at the vacant 5 seater table with the owner Greg who is ‘mad’ he basically told me to take the garden table or f**k off. We reluctantly took it and as it was chilly another table and us asked for the ceiling heaters to be turned on only to be told they were ‘broken’. Ordered drinks no fizzy orange only coke or 7up. Ordered starters which were grand and when the server took the empty plates we were asked to keep the dirty cutlery as they had run out; 2 were having steak and no steak knives were supplied. One of the party ordered lobster to be told when the starters arrived that the lobster was gone. Fair enough at that hour of the evening so steak was ordered but as it was ordered late it arrived about 15 minutes after the other mains arrived so they had to eat on their own. The food was only alright, the chips were reheated and hard. We didn’t even bother with desert as we had enough at that stage! There was a large table about 8 and a 4 table and their drinks order got mixed up. When the 8 seater table mains arrived they all clapped and cheered as they had a long wait for their food. I was looking forward to my first visit to Gregory’s Garden but can honestly say I will never be back. Food was mediocre and the owner leaves a lot to be desired the way he speaks to people. Oh and another thing it’s only cash or revolut accepted in this day and age! It must be said the 2 servers were completely overworked and it appeared that the whole restaurant is understaffed. My advice is give Gregory’s garden a wide berth there’s much nicer places in west Kerry to spend your ‘cash’ in.
This evening we were met at the door of the restaurant by Robyn with a warm and friendly welcome. The place was buzzing. The menu was lovely as a coeliac nothing was a problem. Fish and chips gluten free in the lightest batter ever. The menu had something for everyone meat lovers, vegetarian or vegan. It is a long time since we felt a real Irish Céad Míle fáilte. Thank you to Robyn, Greg and all your team for a wonderful meal and evening out A very happy family x x love Claire, Tom Grace and Paddy x
Very very disappointed service poor wine was like vinegar had a glass and had to leave it after a sip fish and chips ok starters very small portion won't be going back very overated
We just walked in off the street to a fabulous smell had calamari starters and fish chips for mains with a bottle of house white first time in Greg's this year won't be my last, fantastic food with a lovely atmosphere thanks Greg and team.
We visited the pop up restaurant 'The Salt Lab ' after months of expectation. Unfortunately the service was below par, only two waiters on for what seemed like the whole restaurant and outside areas. The waiters were friendly but didn 't seem to know the basic etiquette of food service. Once our drinks were ordered my partner received his beer but we had to go up after 15mins and ask for the white wine. We then waited a full 35mins or so for our food to be served. This would be understandable if the restaurant was full but there was only a table of 6 and our table of 2 inside. The arancini and pickled salad were delicious. The calamari were flavoursome but quite greasy. They brought out two slices of soda bread which were rock hard, perhaps a few days old or had been left out? When we went to pay we were told it was cash only or revolut. Nowhere was there a sign that showed that cards weren 't accepted and we weren 't informed when we sat down. So obviously a little bit off panic set in as we had no cash and my phone only had 5% battery but thankfully we managed to pay via revolut. Overall it was disappointing and I won 't be rushing back to try the rest of the menu
