Read some pretty good reviews on Trip Advisor so I thought I'd check it out. I was not disappointed. The food and service was really good. When I couldn't decide between two menu choices my server, Megan, suggested we rock,paper, scissors to decide. Lol. Loved it. Didn't plan on staying long, but was enjoying the service, so stayed a little longer. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Cartwright's Pub:
I had an hour to kill, so a drink and a snack went. I asked if they had any local beers on the top and got a clue about how I should go into a microbrewery if that's what I want, and that... they're storing the beers to drink their locals. Better than average food, pleasant staff, and very reasonable prices. The burger I had was very good and at $12 represents probably the best value in town. Beer was on special too. If I had the time, I'd become a regular.
Delightful place to stop and eat while in Castlegar without the over priced menu, great service and atmosphere. will be on our places to stop when we are back there
Really unique half Kewl and half Kitzchy interior with tasteful Stained Glass ceilings and antique swag lamps both in front and back seating areas. (thus the church crack) Tasty pub food at very reasonable prices compared to others in region. Best Steak Sandwich in town (that I have tasted) and the Caesar Salad dressing is world-class (NOTE! Ask for lemon slice and bacon bits when ordering to really make the dressing *POP* )HOT TIP they have not one but TWO WING NIGHTS and an outdoor patio area now! (my personal favorite wing flavours are Lemon Pepper and Sticky Asian - nice size for your dollar)They also have a back area that is great for families wanting a little privacy/quiet or larger groups.
I was here about Octoberish for a quick pint and I like the place. Small and quaint. If I had more time, I would like to have a bite there.
