Pastime Saloon - Castle Rock

The restaurant has a "locals only" vibe. We waited over 40 minutes for our tacos while watching everyone who arrived before us get served. Overall, I would rate the food a 1, the service a 1, and the atmosphere a 1.

The highlight of our visit was the waitress, who was incredibly friendly and attentive. The halibut fish and chips were perfectly crisp, without any greasy coating. Although their draft system was out of service, she offered us a selection of cans and bottles instead and was very patient while we made our choices. Overall, I would rate the food a 4, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 4. I highly recommend trying the Halibut Fish and Chips.

I love this bar since I moved to town about 6 yrs now The food is always good, The staff is good. And the entertainment on Friday nights is fun. Who doesn't love Karaoke with Taunya Price..

It’s not as good as it used to be. We go every Tuesday for Taco Tuesday and meet with friends who usually join us. However, we never know what to expect with the tacos; it seems to depend on who is making them that week. Sometimes they’re packed with filling, and other times they have hardly anything in them—no tomatoes, no olives, and very little lettuce. If you want jalapeños, you might get them or you might not; conversely, if you don’t want them, you might end up with them anyway. They can take down the order and still get it wrong. We also notice that we’re charged different prices from week to week, even though we consistently order the same items. We used to enjoy our Tuesday nights at Pastime, but we’re starting to think we need to find a different place for Taco Tuesday. I’m genuinely saddened by this, as I’ve always loved this bar and have spent a lot of time here in my younger days.
