Shampan - Castle Point

Have used this takeaway for at least five years .. always lovely high quality food .... however spent over £40 last night and the food was disgusting!! The chicken rubbery everything tasteless and salty .. prawn puri watery and tested of nothing .. actually think it had been defrosted!! Need to find out if there are different chefs on different nights ... clearly one needs to be sacked !! Not sure after all these years if we would take the chance and use them again ... what a shame Shampan

I have ordered takeout from this restaurant twice on Saturday nights, and both times the food has been exceptional. Last night's chicken dansak was the best we have ever had, and our daughters enjoyed the prawn rogan as well. The portions were generous, everything was delicious, and the delivery was prompt. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Ordered a meal for our family from Shampan ,I would not recommend. Our order took an hour and a half and when it arrived it was cold and was the wrong order. So then we had to wait another 30 mins for the correct order which also turned up cold. So it 's safe to say we will NEVER use this establishment again.

5 years ago I lived round the corner from Shampan and always got my Indian from there. I have since moved a couple of miles away and now use a different takeaway. Because of the lock-down, my takeaway was closed so I ordered from Shampan. Just over an hour for delivery was ok in the current climate and the food was piping hot, hence two stars. My naga chicken was swimming in oil and my partner’s biryani was ok but bland. Not a patch on Pink Chilliz!!

Best Indian food I've had for some time. Great taste full of flavour. Excellent I will definitely use this restaurant again and would highly recommend
