Knocks spots of any where else local. Give it a try you will be far from dissatisfied.

We had rented out the event space for an 18th birthday party, expecting to h... read more The staff at this restaurant completely ruined what should have been a great night. We had rented out the event space for an 18th birthday party, expecting to have it from 8pm until 1am when they closed. Some guests were under 18, but there was no mention before payment that they wouldn't be allowed inside. The manager seemed to constantly be watching our group and whispering to security. Despite the fact that the under 18s weren't drinking, they were told to leave or the party would be cancelled. We were then informed that the party would end at 12am, an hour earlier than planned. The staff even falsely accused someone in our group of peeing on the bathroom floor, and blamed the birthday girl for it. The overall cleanliness of the venue was poor as the toilets were dirty and smelly upon arrival. This experience was a complete joke and we do not recommend holding events at this establishment, as the staff seem intent on ruining your night.

I have visited a couple of times so far, whilst staying with my partner in Essex, and I cannot fault the lovely, friendly atmosphere and attentive service we have received. I very much look forward to returning...the bar is open to sit at for a good chat, and the pink booth like seating suits very well for cosy comfort whilst enjoying a well recommended G 'n ' T certainly more enjoyable evenings ahead at Fattys, for sure! Can 't wait! Cheers!
