We were 8 days in punta ala and had 8 dinners at da bruno. everything was good: zucchini flowers, suppe di moscardini, lobster, fish. this tavern is the main attraction of this region.
As always excellent. very good specificities and the anti pasta for 2, almost a meal per se. I especially like the boiled fish with one of the best mayonnaise I ever had. the baked are also good.
Family of the company that owners help in the service, a very sympathetic and nice couple, good eating, honest, clean comfortable and good employees,
We went there 7 times during the course of our 3 week vacation. The fish is simply great in whatever variation you take it. There is the signature pesce al forno from the standard menu which is cooked in the oven together with sliced potatos,...cherry tomatos and capers (yummie!). Or the lukewarm octopus salad as a starter which easily serves two. Don't miss to have a look at the special dishes of the day which are written on a blackboard and not necessarily proposed by the waiter. Several of them were to die for: zucchini flowers stuffed with spigola and ricotta, tagliolini with lemon and palamita (fish) or tagliolini with zucchini flowers, swordfish and pecorino. The place is not extremely nice but authentic and they have ample parking. The people there are very friendly even though the owner could certainly spare a smile every now and then.
