What Jacopo Lunghi doesn't like about Camping Village Baia Azzurra:
The property is very beautiful, from the accommodations to the beach to the common areas. The problem is the rude staff and the thousand absurd rules they have for check-in and check-out, which necessarily make you waste your day. The quality/price ratio is not there, even if the structure is very beautiful the prices are still disproportionate. We are still talking about a 3 star. I requested a pitch with private bathroom from 6 to 20 August for 2 people and they replied that the reservation can only be accepted for 4 people........... Not having children that I have to pay 500 euros more?????? Simply scandalous

Not far from the center of Castiglione we were at the campsite with a caravan and had a private bathroom. Large shady plots with electricity without water connection. But several columns of water on the way. Very nice new and clean sanitary facilities. Car not on the lot, but in the shaded private parking lot. To get to the private beach you have to cross a road (hardly any traffic) and, as usual in Tuscany, through a small forest. A total of 10 minutes walk. Very beautiful view of the beach in the bay, half of the beach with umbrella service, half free. Supermarket rather small and hardly any fruit and vegetables, only the essentials can be found there. Shops in Castiglione, 3-4 km away, also with a cycle path. Several great pools, no lunch break and animation program not loud or intrusive. We had a great holiday, would love to go again. I don't think it's good that I have to pay for my place in advance upon arrival! The lunchtime rest is from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and during this period you cannot move into your place even after you arrive. All the cars are not on the square, but in a separate parking lot... I don't know yet whether I think that's a good thing The pool is great, the places are very large and shady, there are plenty of toilets/showers but no toilet paper!!! very good WiFi throughout the place... Oh and again there is no toilet paper here Rooms: 1 Service: 4 Location: 1 Hotel highlights: Great view, Kid-friendly
From October 1st to 12th, 2023 we were at the Baia Azzurra campsite for about the 15th time. We actually like it because every year something is renewed or made new. We like the space and the water facilities, as well as the proximity to the beach with the bistro. When we checked out on the day of departure (Thursday, mid October), we said goodbye at the reception and mentioned that I (my husband would have stayed in the car) would quickly cool off in the pool for 10 minutes before the long journey back would. I was then absolutely forbidden from doing so. We weren't allowed to stay in the parking lot either even though there were no cars there at that time. We find this very customer unfriendly. This left us with a very bad impression. Luckily there are a few other campsites in this area!! Service: 1 Location: 4
