For my daughter's wedding end of June, we had welcome dinner at LP for 49 people. The tables were arranged perfectly and the views from the terrace were wonderful. The food was delicious and wine was nice as well. All the guests enjoyed the meal. Thank LP for accommodating such a big party and we were very happy with everything. What GrappaKing doesn't like about Locanda Poggioleone:
Came in for some take away after a long day of touring and was not very comfortable entering. Waiter/staff seemed off put by my request to order food and pointed me downstairs to a friendly woman that was more accommodating. I was unable to obtain a menu and was told what they would make me.....a pasta with meat sauce, a salad and pork chops. The food was decent enough, but based upon the unfriendly first impression... This restaurants is closed for 2022, unfortunately we only realised this on arrival when you are directed to other restaurants in the area. The majority being in Castille del lago some 10km away and driving back is an experience with the local traffic!!.
I arrived exhausted after a long day of travel and was welcomed by Grazia she showed me to my room, explained everything about the hotel completely, and made me a cup of tea. (Thank you Grazia very appreciated! She also set up transportation that I needed and provided recommendations on the area. I felt that I was very well taken care of during my stay and would definitely recommend Locanda Poggioleone. I hope to visit there again

I recommend this restaurant for the lovely food, great service and beautiful views.
We have a house in pozzuolo and wanted to visit a restaurant nearby with friends. Although we have been visiting the area for many years interestingly none of us had ever thought to visit previously; therefore it was a 'first ' for us all. As it 's local we desperately wanted to have a pleasant experience however it wasn 't to be as it was spoilt by the fact that the maitre d failed to point out when we ordered the 'house ' wine that this was unusually one of the most expensive wines on the menu; a fact we didn 't find out until we came to pay the bill!! The food in actual fact was 'good ' however the failure to inform us of the cost of the house wine when we ordered really left us feeling disappointed and although it 's on our 'doorstep ' not sure if we will be visiting again anytime soon!
We crossed this restaurant by accident during our stay near Pozzuolo and decided to have dinner there. The restaurant uses products out of the region and even have their own (very tasty) wine. Due to allergies, they even made us an off menu primi. A really good experience, super friendly staff and amazing views! If your in the area, I'd definitely recommend to go there.
