It has a g... read more I have been coming to San Marco for the past 20 years or so. I can say with absolute certainty that it's one of the best restaurants I have dined at. It has a great atmosphere, amazing service and the best sea food I have ever tasted. The restaurant is family run, everyone was kind to us. They literally treated us like family. If you ever go there, it's a place not to miss! You should get the rigatoni with pesto and swordfish, spectacular.

It was fabulous. Although eating outside, we were under cover. As we ate, a torrential thunderstorm raged down, quite amazing as I was having flambe king prawns at the time. Wonderful meal, great wine, lovely owner/staff. Can totally recommend. Loved it.

But I must say, unlike those who didn't like it, the spaghetti alla Nerano was absolutely perfect, as was everything else we tried. It was a welcoming, family-friendly setting with an atmosphere in keeping with the southern Italian region.

The service, from the owner, was absolutely inadequate, rather surly and inhospitable. Even though we had booked, with a specific request for a good view of the square, they seated us in the middle of the terrace, far from a desired view. Even though the restaurant was empty, the request to change seats was granted later thanks to the intercession of the only waiter (not the owner), who was very kind and customer-oriented (luckily for us). Another flaw in calculating the Fork discount was that I had to do it myself, as it was not initially applied and then applied incorrectly. The billing process should definitely be improved and the owner should be kept out of the dining room. We paid almost €100 for two people, including one appetizer, two main courses, and one wine (the latter being the most expensive option, by the way) because the first was out of stock and we weren't notified in time.
