Location . . can be the only reason this Trattoria does not have hundreds of great reviews. It is pulled out of the way in the middle of Castelgomberto, not exactly on the beaten track. When you get out of the East, you will have several hairpin turns to get there. The bigoli con l'anitra is as good as anyone we've ever eaten in a restaurant: it's worth the trip all alone. All meat dishes were perfect and plentiful.... View all feedback.

Typical local restaurant, offers traditional dishes at an affordable price! staff and waiters are kind and attentive to service. The only flaw is parking.

Please note that there are many Trattoria Al Cacciatore in Italy, and Trip Advisor has the great in Castelgomberto mixed with one in Verona, which is obviously not good. Don't be confused and make the trek to Castelgomberto. You will be rewarded with the best meal you have in months if not years. The bigoli con l'anitra is the best everywhere, with pure fegatini. And the lamb dogs were huge and extremely good. We make this trip to birthday parties, because we can't do anything else.

All meat dishes were perfect and plentiful. And the price was amazingly low. As my youngest daughter said, we have to come here more often.
