Restaurant in the center of Castelgomberto, with ample parking in the nearby square. A historic establishment, as historic as the Agosti-Bortoli family, who have run it for seven generations!!! A welcoming and clean atmosphere with super punctual and attentive service. Speaking of the food...we had the guinea fowl tortelli topped with chestnuts and pancetta, which was absolutely mouthwatering. The crespella with porcini mushrooms was also delicious, as was the fillet with green peppercorns. The wine by the glass was also good, as was the bottle of Passito with dessert. I'd say it was an excellent experience!!!

Please note that there are many Trattoria Al Cacciatore in Italy, and Trip Advisor has the great in Castelgomberto mixed with one in Verona, which is obviously... read more Please note that there are many Trattoria Al Cacciatore in Italy, and Trip Advisor has the great in Castelgomberto mixed with one in Verona, which is obviously not good. Don't be confused and make the trek to Castelgomberto. You will be rewarded with the best meal you have in months if not years. The bigoli con l'anitra is the best everywhere, with pure fegatini. And the lamb dogs were huge and extremely good. We make this trip to birthday parties, because we can't do anything else.

It is pulled out of the way in the middle of Castelgomberto, not exactly on the beaten track. When you get out of the East, you will have several hairpin turns to get there. The bigoli con l'anitra is as good as anyone we've ever eaten in a restaurant: it's worth the trip all alone. All meat dishes were perfect and plentiful. And the price was amazingly low. As my youngest daughter said, we have to come here more often.

In my daughter's words when she was eating there for the first time, we have a new favorite Trattoria .
