We were directed to this restaurant by our B&B hosts. It was exactly what we were looking for. A local spot with nice surroundings, good food and great prices! With an English menu, and little English spoken (and no Italian by us) we managed a nice meal with ease. The young waiter was very patient and helpful. Unbeatable prices Antipasta 4 euros, pastas 6 euros, 1L wine 4 euros, cappucino 1 euro! View all feedback.
Hard to find, but worth the trouble. We’re from the States and look to find ways to experience Italy like a local Italian. During a visit to Rome we visited Castel San Pietro Romano. This restaurant was recommended to us by a local. We were the only English speaking people in the restaurant. They bent over backwards to understand us and make sure we were happy. The service was spot on and the food was delightful. Authentic food of the region done with passion. The prices are low and the friendliness is high. We hope to return and highly recommend to those adventurous enough to get here. Ciao!
Where can one have pasta plates for €6, and a steak for €8.5 these days? This trattoria, overlooking Palestrina, is frequented by locals, and offers unbeatable prices and unbeatable views. This is not a fine dining place, nor the site of a romantic date: it 's frequented by locals, often large families, and the dining room is large and noisy, full of life. The cooking is relatively modest, home-made italian food, well crafted but not extraordinarily delicious either: the sort of plain, filling meals one appreciates on a daily basis. It is not worth a gastronomic pilgrimage, to put it somehow, but if you happen to be on the area of Palestrina, and feel like climbing the hill, this trattoria is definitely one of the top picks to have a good meal in. The prices are, as said, unbeatable, and the value-for-money extraordinary – I 've had far worse meals in nicer places in London, where I was charged 10 times more for inferior food.
We went with friends who didn 't really want to eat rabbit or lamb.....but they tried a little of each anyways (after all, When in Rome... , right? and they had seconds! Need I say more? The portions were large and the price was small. And the view...oh, the view!
Great place! Highly recommended! Nonna (grandma) cooks soooooo delicious! (and i don't eat meat, if it is important)
Piacevole scoperta su consiglio di due persone del posto, molto caldo e accogliente, molto gentile e sempre sorridente personale, grande cibo peccato solo per il freddo perché il panorama è un vero spettacolo
