Houmet Tavern - Castel

We just had the MOST fun tonight in a proper Guernsey pub. The welcome was second to none. We participated in a 'Guernsey meat draw ' and the excitement far outweighed the value of the prizes although we were delighted to win something. Our host Ian was friendly and knowlegable and the bar food was AMAZING. We will definitely be back and would heartedly advise you to stop off here, even if you are only here for a day. I loved it.

Great food, good menu selection and reasonable prices, superb views across the bay and very helpful and friendly staff. If you are in this neck of the woods and need food I would recommend you visit Houmet, you won't be disappointed.

I enjoyed some delightful fish and chips—well-cooked and pleasantly crispy. The sticky toffee pudding was exceptional, taking it to the next level! While the exterior of the restaurant may seem a bit worn, the interior has a cozy atmosphere. The service was great, making for an enjoyable dining experience!

I was very impressed with my dining experience and the service provided. The staff were polite and hardworking, always attentive to our needs. The restaurant was clean and tidy, creating a comfortable atmosphere both inside and outside. The food was outstanding! After trying several dishes, I can highly recommend their lamb burger, which was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. I will definitely be returning!

My friend and I recently attended a tenner party, and it was excellent! We were able to sample everything three times, and each bite was so delicious that we couldn’t help but say “mmm.” The staff was also very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend trying their tenner festival menu!
