Excellent spot for port...and people watching !

Visited cassis for 6 nights sept 2022, enthusiastic with hotel, place is immaculate, maid every day. ideal location for visiting the city and watching the peopl... read more Visited cassis for 6 nights sept 2022, enthusiastic with hotel, place is immaculate, maid every day. ideal location for visiting the city and watching the people past we had a room upstairs with harbour view, we were not disappointed, stayed in...Room 30, wonderful view over the entire harbour. the food was excellent, not cordon bleu, large portions, freshly prepared and tasty, also liked the idee, not in the position, pre-book table, only to turn up seat and eat. the personal was all absolutely brilliant, julie at the reception could not do enough to help while margot and anouk were excellent in the restaurant, nothing was too much annoyed, the person went out of the way to make our stay pleasant. there was only one part in the holiday, nothing to do with the hotel, but access to the city, we came with the train and how many coast resorts in the opposite, the railway station is back to the country, we had to wait 40 minutes on a bus, no sign of taxis. we decided to book a taxi back to return to the train station but could not get a response from one of the taxis or the tuk tuk service in the city, although we spoke on the day before our return with a tuk tuk tuk driver who promised to confirm booking by the hotel but not. if they arrive with the train, would suggest transfer to city. we are both more profitable and when we came to go, with luggage, were told by the 2 girls from the restaurant, margot and anouk to our cases that we did, they each have a case and accompanied us to the bus stop, service over and above all we expected.

I hope they are very good at the warm weather. the rude waiter (which was, by the way, bald to get a comb) made sure that our lunch was spoiled. his attitude and evil abhorrence was terrible, I don't know if he had a bad day or if he's just bad at his job, but he threw essentially the menus on us, and was very unhelpful to ask my friend about vegetarian options (very limited). the personal did not know that we were talking decently French and so we could understand that they were talking about us behind our return. I can certainly think of better places to spend their money. mcdonald comes in the senses. eating was at least good so congratulations to the cooking staff, it is a shame that their work is undermined by this guy.
