My wife and I went to flamengo after we had been there a few years ago. we were very disappointed by our experience in the second round for some reasons detaile... read more My wife and I went to flamengo after we had been there a few years ago. we were very disappointed by our experience in the second round for some reasons detailed below. first we asked for a mix of hot and cold antipasti, just...Fish, for which we were a full part of all that hot and then all the cold antipasti that we thought was strange, of course we wanted a mix (which we told the cook) and not all cold and then hot on all. the antipasti were well presented, but none of the fish was fresh (like that sweet, the fresh seafood has), there was also a hair in one of the dishes we sent back, and also after we expressly told the chef at the beginning, we do not want meat, one of the dishes came with speck at the summit, this was very disappointing. then we asked to share a lobster pasta for us when I asked if the lobster was fresh, he said to us fresh from this morning on the clear obviously there is no fresh form this morning when it comes to lobster, it is either fresh from the tank or frozen. this on the taste was obviously frozen and then, when it came to us, overcooked. not terrible, but I could have cooked a frozen lobster pasta better. the hummerpasta lasted over 30 minutes to prepare. total we were calculated in the chieti area 145 eur for this meal, which is an expensive meal for this against (we have eaten in many good restaurants in the environment). there are much better restaurants such as vento di prua in guardiagrele, where we ate in the night before, which had excellent fresh seafood for almost half the price. bottom line, flamengo has good presentation, ok eat, ok service and no fresh fish (at least what we have) also overpriced.
